On a late autumn day in Anderson, South Carolina, the life of Gary Leon Dennis was tragically cut short. The 56-year-old Black male, known affectionately to friends and family as 'Boot,' was killed by gun violence on November 22, 2015. Born in Anderson on July 31, 1959, Dennis was a familiar and friendly face in his community.
