In the late hours of a warm South Carolina evening, the life of 18-year-old Tydre Shyheim Hailey was cut tragically short. It was shortly after midnight on September 13, 2018, in the Homeland Park area of Anderson County, that the fatal incident unfolded. Hailey, a Black/African American male, was with Cortaisha Nykia Kiera Brown, also 18 at the time, when a single gunshot pierced the quiet of the night, striking him in the chest.
