In the late evening hours of March 31, 2016, the bustling Ravenel Bridge in Charleston, South Carolina, became the scene of a somber discovery. Authorities were called to the pedestrian lane where they found the bodies of Charles William Best Jr. and Lindsey Bedenk. Best, a 30-year-old Caucasian male, and Bedenk were found with what appeared to be self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
