In the early morning hours of May 10, 2014, the life of 40-year-old Donnathian Grant was tragically cut short on Nassau Street, on the east side of Charleston, South Carolina. Grant, a Black male, was fatally shot in an incident that marked the second deadly shooting in the downtown area in just two days. The Charleston County Coroner's Office later confirmed that a gunshot wound was the cause of his death.
