In the early morning hours of July 14, 2013, a trip to a Charleston, South Carolina gas station turned fatal for 22-year-old Donta Pringle. The male victim was with a group of friends at the Exxon station on Meeting and Woolfe streets when an exchange of words with a number of women escalated into a tragic outbreak of violence. Shortly after the conversation, gunfire erupted in the parking lot, striking Pringle and two other individuals.
