In the quiet community of Nichols, South Carolina, the life of Manasses Aser Paige, a 32-year-old Black/African American male, was abruptly cut short on the night of April 4, 2016. Known for his devotion to his family and his skill in constructing houses and refurbishing vehicles, Paige was at a residence on Pee Dee Island Road when violence shattered the evening's peace. Two men reportedly forced their way into the home, leading to a confrontation that ended in gunfire.
