Jason Gary Cole, 43, a male of White/Caucasian ethnicity from Weaverville, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in Alexander, North Carolina, on the night of August 16, 2025. Deputies with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 10:06 p.m. to a residence at 1990 Old NC 20 Highway, where they discovered Jason Gary Cole, 43, deceased at the scene. Authorities characterized the event as isolated and said there was no ongoing threat to the public.
