He was also a Life Scout, nearly achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On the day of his death, Jeremy and a friend were playing with a handgun when it unexpectedly discharged, resulting in his fatal injury. This incident occurred just two days after his high school graduation. Jeremy's untimely death left a profound impact on his family, friends, and the community, who remembered him as a kind and giving individual always willing to help others.
