Stephen Levi Amos II, a 24-year-old male police officer of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on February 27, 1995, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Officer Amos and his partner, Senior Police Officer John Pratt, were responding to a call of shots fired in a nearby apartment complex when they encountered sniper fire.
