On December 14, 2024, at approximately 5:49 a.m., the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a shooting incident on the 3000 block of Indiana Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 39-year-old Jeremy Obrien McClure suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency medical services, McClure succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The police department indicated that the shooting did not appear to be a random act of violence.
