Quinnterrius Polite, an 18-year-old from North Charleston, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on February 24, 2017. Polite was fatally shot at the former North Charleston Inn. The incident occurred when Tyree Shequille Johnson, then 25 years old, waited in the courtyard of the inn for 26 minutes before ambushing Polite. Johnson shot Polite six times, with several shots hitting him from behind as he attempted to flee.
