In the winter of 2017, the life of 18-year-old Quinnterrius Polite was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in North Charleston, South Carolina. Polite, a Black male, was at the former North Charleston Inn on February 24, 2017, when he was ambushed and killed.

The incident, captured on hotel surveillance footage, showed 25-year-old Tyree Shequille Johnson waiting in the courtyard for 26 minutes before attacking Polite. Johnson shot Polite six times, with several bullets striking him i ...
