In the late hours of a Monday evening in Sumter, South Carolina, an argument between housemates escalated to a fatal conclusion. On May 15, 2017, 35-year-old David Jensen Battilana was found in the backyard of his Belk Street home with a gunshot wound. Emergency services transported him to Palmetto Health Tuomey, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
