In the quiet community of Irmo, South Carolina, a drug deal turned deadly, claiming the life of 21-year-old Davion Q. Allen on a Sunday evening in early January 2018. The incident unfolded at a residence on Sutton Way, where Allen and another man, 23-year-old Tyler Michael Pluchinsky, were involved in a fatal shootout.
According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the two men shot each other during what was described as a 'botched drug deal.'
Both Allen and Pluchinsky succumbed to gunshot wounds to the upper body at the scene. A third individual was also wounded in the exchange of gunfire and was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Authorities indicated that this person could potentially face charges related to their involvement in the drug deal.
Richland County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the home shortly after 8:30 p.m. following reports of shots fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered the double homicide. The investigation that followed determined that one of the men was attempting to purchase drugs from the other when the situation escalated into violence. While the investigation was ongoing, law enforcement officials did not announce any arrests in connection with the deaths of Allen and Pluchinsky, as the primary individuals involved died during the incident.
