In the quiet town of Aiken, South Carolina, the life of 38-year-old Pamela Lawson was tragically cut short on January 26, 2018. She was discovered in a home on Buldra Lane, the victim of a brutal double homicide alongside 25-year-old Cody Diminovich. The Aiken County Coroner's Office confirmed that both individuals had succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation into the double murder quickly led authorities to identify a suspect, 20-year-old Jeremie David Tobey.
An alert was issued for Tobey, who was also wanted for the theft of a blue 2011 Honda Civic that belonged to one of the victims. The search for Tobey extended beyond state lines, culminating in his capture in Connecticut just a few days after the discovery of the crime. The stolen vehicle was also recovered at the time of his arrest.
Following his apprehension, Tobey was extradited back to South Carolina to face charges for the murders of Pamela Lawson and Cody Diminovich, as well as for grand larceny.
