In the quiet community of Burton, South Carolina, the discovery of a young man's body on a Sunday in late September of 2018 brought a wave of sorrow and concern. Deontay Taushawn Alston, a 19-year-old male from Beaufort, was found deceased in a wooded area off of Castle Rock Road on September 23, 2018. His life had been cut short by apparent gunshot wounds.
