Detuan Sincere Jenkins, a 19-year-old from Beaufort, South Carolina, tragically passed away on February 16, 2015. He was pronounced dead at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Jenkins' death was a result of a shooting incident that occurred at an outdoor basketball court on Greene Street in Beaufort. This incident was part of a series of violent events that raised significant concerns within the community about safety and youth activities.
