In the early evening of Wednesday, October 16, 2019, the life of 22-year-old Dewayne Allen Wilson Jr. was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting inside a home on Dawson Drive in Chester, South Carolina. The incident unfolded around 5:30 p.m., shattering the quiet of the neighborhood located near the Chester County Sheriff's Office. Responding to reports of gunfire, law enforcement officers arrived to find Wilson with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
