Death by Force

Ashley Compton, a 36-year-old resident of Charleston, South Carolina, was found dead on March 3, 2020, in her apartment at the Bridgeview Village complex on North Romney Street. Emergency responders initially arrived at the scene due to reports of a fire. Once the flames were extinguished, investigators discovered Compton's body inside the apartment. She had been shot in the head, and her death was ruled a homicide.
