On July 11, 2020, 18-year-old Cassisus Demetrius Jermaine Brown, affectionately known as "Kash," tragically lost his life to gun violence in Charleston, South Carolina. The incident was part of a series of shootings that occurred over that weekend in Charleston County. Authorities reported four separate shootings, resulting in two fatalities, including Brown, and multiple injuries.
