On a September evening in 2020, the life of Antonio Tyquell Demon Burkett, a 24-year-old male, was cut short by gunfire in Columbia, South Carolina. The shooting occurred on Friday, September 11, at The Colony Apartments in the northern part of the city. Columbia Police Department officers were alerted to the incident by a ShotSpotter notification and responded to the scene at approximately 7 p.m.
