In the autumn of 2025, the life of 18-year-old Dion Briggs was cut short in a fatal shooting in Columbia, South Carolina. The incident unfolded on the evening of Tuesday, November 11th, in the 1700 block of Nearview Drive, just off Percival Road and Interstate 77 in the northeast part of the city.
