On August 6, 2023, at approximately 4:30 a.m., 26-year-old Mallory Kourtlyn Nelson was fatally shot in the 300 block of Zimalcrest Drive in Columbia, South Carolina. The Columbia Police Department responded to the scene, collected ballistic evidence, and described the incident as isolated.
