In Sumter, South Carolina, a 39-year-old Black man named Cornelius Dwyer tragically lost his life on May 20, 2021. His body was discovered with a gunshot wound at the Windsor City mobile home park, a finding that prompted an immediate investigation by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office, who are treating the case as a homicide. An autopsy was subsequently performed at the Medical University of South Carolina hospital in Charleston to further understand the circumstances of his death.
