On a cold winter day in Sumter, South Carolina, the life of Robert Michael Blouin, a 37-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On Monday, January 3, 2022, Blouin was discovered deceased inside his apartment, the victim of an apparent gunshot wound. His death was quickly determined to be a homicide, launching an investigation by local law enforcement.
In the days that followed, authorities identified two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting.
The investigation led them to 24-year-old Malik Woods and 19-year-old Isaiah McKnight. Warrants were issued for their arrests, and a search for the two men began.
On January 13, 2022, both Woods and McKnight were taken into custody. They face a string of serious charges, including murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, armed robbery, and criminal conspiracy.
