On the afternoon of Sunday, October 17, 2021, a violent encounter unfolded on the streets of Sumter, South Carolina, claiming the life of Bryan Omega Myers. The 31-year-old Black male was walking along Hannah Street near the Harmony Court Apartments, a route he reportedly took while heading toward a nearby business.
