In the quiet neighborhood of Greer, South Carolina, the evening of December 6, 2022, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When the authorities arrived at the scene near Turner and Laurel Streets, they discovered the body of 31-year-old Demetrius Dwight. He had been fatally shot in what police began investigating as a homicide. The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office confirmed that Dwight's death was a result of the shooting.
