In the late hours of a summer evening in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the life of 28-year-old Zatrun Twiggs was tragically cut short. On August 3, 2014, Twiggs and another young man, 20-year-old Detavian L. Richardson, were found shot inside a vehicle on South Middle Street. The discovery marked the beginning of a double homicide investigation that would leave a community searching for answers.
