In the winter of 2014, a violent act shattered the holiday season in Kansas City, Missouri, leaving a family to mourn and a community unsettled. On the afternoon of Saturday, December 27th, 57-year-old Roger L. Chandler, a male resident of the city, was fatally shot near the intersection of 12th Street and Askew Avenue. The incident, which was later classified as a homicide, cut short the life of a man remembered by his loved ones.
