Quante Yancey, a 22-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, was tragically shot to death on the night of December 13, 2016. The incident occurred near 36th Street and Wabash Avenue, where police responded to reports of shots being fired just before 11:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Yancey deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and the investigation into his death is ongoing.
