On May 7, 2024, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Kansas City police responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the 11700 block of Corrington Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a woman outside the home with a gunshot wound to her chest; she was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
