Lamar Sharp, a 32-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost his life on April 9, 2019. Lamar was visiting a family friend when gunfire erupted during a picnic. According to reports, several men walked down the street and began shooting at the crowd gathered at the event. In a heroic act, Lamar ran towards his friend's 2-year-old great-grandson to protect him from the gunfire.
