On July 12, 2023, 62-year-old Phillip Martin Holoman was fatally shot near East 45th Street and South Benton Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. Emergency responders arrived around 12:30 p.m. to find Holoman suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following the incident, Kansas City police took a person of interest into custody at the scene. Authorities have not released further details about the individual or the circumstances
