On January 12, 2023, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Kansas City, Missouri, police responded to reports of a shooting in the 700 block of Lewis Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 30-year-old Jericho Michael Anthony Petalino deceased outside a residence, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Simultaneously, two additional gunshot victims were located at the Express Stop gas station in the 8500 block of Winner Road; both were transported to a hospital in critical condition and later stabilized.
