Montel Ridley, a 27-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, tragically lost his life on June 6, 2020. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the historic 18th and Vine jazz district. According to reports, an argument broke out in a parking lot, leading to a shooting that resulted in five individuals being injured. Montel Ridley was among those who were shot and was pronounced dead after being transported to Truman Medical Center.
