In the early morning hours of June 4, 2016, Marva L. Amrine, a 53-year-old Black female, was shot and killed in a double homicide in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident, which also claimed the life of her co-worker, 64-year-old Terrell K. Nance, unfolded around 4 a.m. in the 3800 block of Park Avenue as they were heading to their jobs as bus drivers for Kansas City International Airport.
