On the evening of May 29, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri, a young man's life was abruptly cut short. James Mondale Allen Jr., a 24-year-old Black male, was discovered inside a vehicle in the 3300 block of Colorado Avenue around 7:10 p.m. He had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
