On the evening of October 15, 2018, tragedy struck in a residential neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of 40-year-old Darrick J. Jackson. Officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to the 4100 block of Garfield Avenue around 6:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire in the area.
