In the late summer of 2020, a young man's life was cut tragically short in Kansas City, Missouri. Jason T. Smith, a 19-year-old White/Caucasian male, was fatally shot on August 9, 2020, in what was later determined to be an accidental shooting. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Kansas City Zoo, a place typically associated with family outings and joyous occasions.
