On a summer evening in Kansas City, Missouri, a dispute tragically escalated, leading to the death of 31-year-old Charles Williams, an African American male. On July 21, 2017, police were dispatched to a residence in the 2500 block of Van Brunt Boulevard shortly after 10 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Williams on the front porch, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
