In the city of Saint-Louis, Missouri, the life of 22-year-old Keerica Bolden, a Black female, was tragically cut short on April 30, 2015. On that Thursday morning, she and another woman, 25-year-old Korie Hodges, were discovered deceased inside a duplex located in the 4000 block of Natural Bridge Avenue, near Fairground Park. The grim discovery was made by Hodges' father, who had arrived at the home around 6:45 a.m. to drop off a child.
He found the apartment door open and, upon entering, found both women in a bedroom.
Both Bolden and Hodges had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The scene was especially heartbreaking as two young children, ages two and five, were found unharmed inside the apartment. Investigators at the time noted that there were no signs of a forced entry or a struggle, leading them to suspect that the victims may have been familiar with their assailant. Despite this initial assessment, the motive for the double homicide remained unclear in the early stages of the investigation.
Neighbors in the area expressed their shock and fear following the discovery, stating they had not heard any gunshots overnight. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Unit took charge of the case, which they described as a difficult and senseless crime. However, in the days and years that have followed the violent deaths of Keerica Bolden and Korie Hodges, no suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The investigation into their murders remains open, another unsolved homicide in the city.
