In a tragic turn of events stemming from a family dispute, 51-year-old Kenneth Moses lost his life in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident, which occurred on August 11, 2015, unfolded within the walls of a home he shared with his older brother, Robert Moses. An argument between the siblings escalated, leading to a fatal conclusion that would eventually see one brother responsible for the death of the other.
During the heated confrontation, Robert Moses, who was 57 at the time, produced a
firearm and shot his younger brother in the chest. Kenneth was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention but succumbed to his injuries the following day. At the time of the shooting, Robert Moses was on parole for a prior assault conviction, a fact that would later play a role in the legal proceedings against him.
The investigation into Kenneth Moses' death led to his brother, Robert, as the primary suspect. Although it took two years for charges to be officially filed, Robert Moses was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in July 2017. He had been returned to prison for a parole violation shortly after the shooting, on August 23, 2015.
The case proceeded to trial, where a jury considered the evidence presented. In May 2021, the jury found Robert Moses guilty of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with his brother's death. The following month, in June 2021, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison, bringing a somber end to a domestic tragedy that tore a family apart.
