Kajieme Powell, a 25-year-old man from St. Louis, Missouri, was shot and killed by two St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officers on August 19, 2014. The incident occurred in the 8700 block of Riverview Avenue after police received 911 calls reporting that Powell had stolen energy drinks and pastries from a convenience store and was acting erratically.
