In the fall of 2015, the life of 29-year-old Derek Phillips was tragically cut short in a violent encounter that left the community of Saint-Louis, Missouri, searching for answers. On a Tuesday night, November 3rd, police were called to a residence on the 2600 block of California Avenue where they made a grim discovery. Inside, Phillips and another man, Christopher Bronson, also 29, were found shot to death.
