On May 5, 2023, 23-year-old Dominic Meriwether Jr. was fatally shot in the parking lot of a business located in the 7000 block of West Florissant Avenue in Flordell Hills, a suburb of St. Louis County, Missouri. The incident occurred just before noon, and responding officers found Meriwether suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
