On the night of January 27, 2019, 47-year-old Veronica Gail Foy was fatally shot outside her apartment in Center Point, Alabama. At approximately 10:04 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Garden Way Apartments. Upon arrival, they found Foy suffering from a gunshot wound to her side. Neighbors had come to her aid before paramedics arrived.
