In the early hours of a summer day in Kansas City, Missouri, the life of 27-year-old LonNasha L. Tate was tragically cut short. On Thursday, July 21, 2016, police were called to the 3600 block of Askew Avenue around 12:30 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Inside the residence, they discovered Tate suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics rushed her to a local hospital, but her injuries proved to be fatal. At the time of the incident, two young children were also present in the house.
