Cheri Renee Bland, a 28-year-old mother of five, tragically lost her life on August 28, 2016, in Kansas City, Missouri. Bland was a victim of gun violence, murdered in broad daylight inside the 7th Heaven store located at 75th and Troost. The incident occurred on a Sunday afternoon, and it was reported that the shooter was Desmond Bell, the father of one of her children.
