In the late hours of a November night in 2021, the life of 23-year-old Jonice Burks, a female, was cut tragically short in Raytown, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. On November 30th, police responded to a call of shots fired near 74th Street and Raytown Road around 11:10 p.m. Arriving at the scene, they discovered Burks deceased inside a parked vehicle, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
At the scene of the incident, law enforcement officials took a man into custody in connection
with the shooting. However, he was later released, and as of yet, no charges have been filed in the case.
