In the early hours of October 12, 2016, a tragedy unfolded in a Blue Springs, Missouri, home that would end the life of 46-year-old Luis Cedres. Intruders broke into his residence around 12:30 a.m., leading to a fatal confrontation. Mr. Cedres was discovered in a pool of his own blood, having been shot multiple times. It was later revealed by friends and neighbors that he died a hero, protecting two teenagers who were in the house at the time of the home invasion. The teenagers were able to hide ...
