In the late afternoon of February 26, 2021, a burst of violence shattered the calm in a business area in Blue Springs, Missouri, leaving 46-year-old Gregory B. Marchand with a fatal gunshot wound. The incident unfolded around 2:50 p.m. in the 700 block of NW Missouri 7, a strip of fast-food restaurants and other businesses.
